Why makes Edvard Munch's 'The Scream' so iconic? Why does that crazy little man cover his ears? What drove Munch to create this strange work? Are you also curious to know more about the history of this iconic work by Edvard Munch?
During the months of July and August, the museum organises a free guided tour for individual visitors, every Sunday at 3 p.m. upon purchase of an entrance ticket.
One of our guides will take you through the MDR collection and tell you more about the captivating oeuvre of Edvard Munch.
The tour (30min.) naturally ends at the world-famous work 'The Scream', which has been part of our permanent collection since November 2022.
Please meet at the museum's ticket counter a little before 3 p.m. Reservations are not possible.
